Shane L. Rucker was born in Thousand Oaks, California in 1981. He graduated from California State University Channel Islands in 2006 with a Bachelors Degree in History. While at CSUCI, he participated in internships at the Robert J. & Norma M. Lagomarsino Department of Archives & Special Collections, and at the Commemorative Air Force Aviation Museum in Camarillo, California. He plans on continuing his education by pursuing a Masters in Public Administration.
Shane has been apart of the Paul, Hanley & Harley family since January of 2000 and has worked closely with the foundations Founding Board Member Jerry Neil Paul. Shane has been dedicated to helping the victims of Mesothelioma and their families for the last 6 years and will continue by donating his efforts to the Mesothelioma Research Foundation of America.
The work being done by Dr. Parkash Gill and his team of researchers hits close to home for Shane. His father has installed countertops in homes throughout Southern California and has done so for the past 25 years. Last year his father lost a long time friend and business partner to Carcinoma of the Abdomen. By seeing the affects first hand Shane is dedicated to making Mesothelioma and other cancers things of the past.
